- It was the king of the Jurassic predators in North America.
- It;s powerful jaws held nearly 70 sharp, thick teeth.
- Had three-fingered hands and the claws measured up to 8 inches long.
- It's skull bones were very flexible thought it did not have a very large skull or teeth for an animal of its size.
- A large space in it's mouth was created by bending the lower jawbones. This helped in holding meat.
